Diamonds Forever is a San Diego jewelry boutique that specializes in beautiful, custom jewelry, including engagement rings, necklaces, and earrings. They sell their jewelry both online and in their shop in San Diego.
What They Do
They offer a wide variety of services including custom jewelry, jewelry repair/restoration, loans, appraisals, and more. They also buy used jewelry and gemstones.
The Problem
Our partner operates in a very competitive space. They consistently struggled to stand out against their competitors due to a lack of trust and relevance on their website. They were also falling behind when it came to on-site authority and improving the rankings of some of their top keywords.
DiamondsForeverSanDiego.com was ranking well for a number of queries but only had 9 keywords ranking on the first page on July 1st, 2016.
After they had explored all of their options and not knowing what else to do, they turned to Searchbloom for help.
The Solution
After our initial analysis of their situation, the team at Searchbloom developed a three-tiered approach and designed a strategy that will help them with their Authority, Relevancy, and the Technology (A.R.T.) used to build their website.
Prior to partnering with Searchbloom, the site had a high amount of low-quality links pointing to their site. To help us develop a well-rounded backlink portfolio, we did a full backlink analysis and audit. This helped guide us on what types of links need to be acquired.
Once our audit was complete, it was clear that we needed to focus on high-authority link acquisition. Over the course of the next year, we acquired, on average, two new links per month; each of them having a domain rating above 40.
